About

Our Story

The Decor Drift began as a weekend project — a place to document the small changes that made our rented flat feel like home. Peel-and-stick tiles in the kitchen. A thrifted armchair reupholstered on a budget. Curtains that finally fit the windows.

Friends kept asking how we did it, so we started writing it all down. Now The Decor Drift is a home decor blog for real homes: rentals, small spaces, tight budgets, and rooms that need to work hard.

What We Cover

  • Room ideas — living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, and bathrooms with real layouts and measurements.
  • Small spaces — apartments, studios, and tiny rooms that punch above their square footage.
  • Budget decor — high-impact updates under $50, thrift flips, and DIY projects.
  • Organization — systems that stay tidy, from pantries to entryways.
  • Rental-friendly upgrades — everything reversible, deposit-safe, and landlord-approved.

Our Approach

We believe good design isn’t about spending more — it’s about choosing well. Every idea on this site is tested against three questions: Is it affordable? Is it achievable in a weekend? Would it work in a rental?

We write for people, not algorithms. No 2,000-word intros before the answer. Just clear ideas, honest costs, and the details that actually matter.
